Autumn Leaves
September zoomed by. Nicole was the Second Lady in Mission City Opera's Magic Flute in Santa Clara, CA. I started rehearsals for West Bay Opera's production of Verdi's Macbeth in Palo Alto, CA. I got to learn Macduff. I love singing Verdi! We started rehearsals for "The Scottish Play" on September 11 and the show opened on Friday the Thirteenth. Yet and still, it went off without a hitch.
I got to celebrate my Dad's birthday on September 21st, Nicole's on September 26th and my sister Michelle's birthday on October 14th. I also had the good fortune to be able to spend some time with my good friend Ian Sierchio who was in SF for business. We hung at Hyde Street Pier, went hunting for used books and cheap t-shirts on California Street and Ian, Nicole and I had a delicious dinner of Gaspare's Pizza. A good time was had by all.
As a gorgeously sunny October comes to a close here on 18th Ave., I look forward to an exciting audition trip to New York City and the addition of a new niece (thanks to my sister-in-law Jennifer and her husband Shane) in the month of November.
